Brodsworth Hall

Brodsworth Hall - This morning you travel to the delightful Brodsworth Hall. Built in the 1860's for the Thellusson family, the house and gardens later fell into disrepair when the family lost their fortune. The Victorian pleasure gardens have now been expertly resorted to their former glory, along with the house that has been conserved to tell the stories of the generations of people who worked and lived here.

Lyme House

Lyme House and Gardens & Eyam - Today you head to the edge of the Peak District to Lyme House and Gardens. This 1400-acre estate has a herd of red deer and stunning views galore! The gardens contain a Rose Garden, Ravine Garden and a lake which happens to be the location in which Mr Darcy met Miss Bennet in the BBC production of 'Pride and Prejudice'. From here, step back in time as you continue on for a short visit to the atmospheric, historic village of Eyam, which is also known as the 'Plague Village'. Immerse yourself in the story of the unselfish villagers who in the 17th century who sealed themselves off from the outside world to stop the deadly disease from spreading.

Chesterfield

Chesterfield & Hardwick Hall - Your first visit of the day is to Chesterfield for some free time. A paradise for shoppers, Chesterfield is perhaps best known for St Mary's Church that has a crooked spire. This afternoon you continue on to Hardwick Hall, one of the finest Elizabethan buildings in the country.
