Bowood House
Bowood House & Gardens and Corsham
Today you visit Bowood House and Gardens, where there will be free time to explore the house and gardens at leisure. Bowood House has the perfect Georgian architecture, fascinating estate rooms and one of England's finest 'Capability' Brown landscapes. From here, you continue on to the quintessentially English market town of Corsham. Here you may see peacocks roaming from their home at Corsham Court.
Stanway House
Stanway House and Fountain & Cirencester
This morning you visit Stanway House, described as "as perfect and pretty a Cotswold manor house as anyone is likely to see". Situated here is also see the tallest gravity fountain in Britain. Whilst here, you'll be treated to a guided tour of the house. You then spend some time at leisure in Cirencester. Known as "The Capital of the Cotswolds", this pretty town offers an abundance of interesting buildings and independent shops to explore.
Harcourt Arboretum
Harcourt Arboretum & Salter's Steamers
Your first visit for today is to the glorious Harcourt Arboretum. Here you have 130 acres of the world's most rare and endangered trees to peruse. Look out for Indian peacocks dust bathing or skilfully hopping around the tops of trees and lots of other wildlife around the grounds! From here you continue onto Oxford where you board a 40-minute cruise along the River Thames, where you have another chance to spot some more wildlife as you cruise past Kidneys nature park.
