The interesting and picturesque Dutch town of Valkenburg will be our base for this festive tour. The colourful Christmas Market takes place in the town’s famous caves giving this event its unique atmosphere. We are sure you will agree that it is one of the prettiest markets to be found anywhere!

FRIDAY - We depart our convenient pick up point and begin our journey south to Dover where we join the mid-morning ferry across to Calais. Welcome cocktails are served with dinner tonight.
SATURDAY - A free day to enjoy Valkenburg including entrance into the famous Christmas Market in the municipal caves of Valkenburg, considered as the largest and oldest underground Christmas Market in Europe. You’ll be surprised by the lovely settings and decor, which are in full harmony with the numerous stands offering Christmas gifts and other luxuries. Dinner tonight is served at 5.00pm to allow you to make your own way into the town centre to witness the colourful Christmas Parade which features beautiful floats, dancers and costumed characters (starts at 7.30 pm).
SUNDAY - A day exploring this stunning area including visits to Monchau and historic Aachenbefore returning to our hotel.
MONDAY - Today we bid our hosts farewell and return to Calais to board the late afternoon ferry back to the UK.
