NEW YEAR’S EVE - We depart from our convenient pick up point at approximately midday and travel to London to arrive at our hotel late afternoon. This evening, prepare to be dazzled by a firework spectacular along the River Thames or one of the other London firework displays. The display will start after Big Ben chimes midnight and will last for 10 minutes. Its popularity means it gets very crowded and it will not be possible to enter the viewing area once capacity is reached. The best places from which to watch the fireworks are Westminster Bridge and the North Embankment of the River Thames, opposite the London Eye.
NEW YEAR’S DAY - Why not spend New Year’s Day at the 2013 New Year’s Day Parade. This event will draw thousands of performers from around the world to celebrate its 27th anniversary. Dance troupes and bands are expected to reach London from all corners of the earth, with more than 10,000 performers scheduled to entertain.
WEDNESDAY 2ND JANUARY - After a relaxed breakfast, we check out of the hotel and make our own way to enjoy free time in the city. We then make our own way back to the hotel where the coach will be waiting to depart at 5.00pm for the journey home.
