Excursions

INVERARAY & OBAN (Full day) - Sit back and relax as we enjoy a morning’s drive to Oban which stands unchallenged as the capital of the western seaboard of Scotland. We then spend the remainder of the day in one of Argyll’s most popular towns, Inveraray.

LOCH LOMOND & 'THE REST AND BE THANKFUL PASS' (Full day) - The road between Loch Long and Loch Fyne incorporates the “Rest and be Thankful pass”. This stunning road which rises to over 855 feet west of Arrochar takes its name from the inscription on a rough stone bench at its summit probably inscribed by William Caulfield who built the first military road over the pass between 1746-48.

ISLE OF BUTE (Full day) - We enjoy some stunning scenery as we travel by ferry across the scenic Kyles of Bute to explore the mystical Isle of Bute. Here we spend some time in the main town of Rothesay, which is renowned for its old world charm. Following a circuitous tour around the island, we return via yet more spectacular Scottish scenery to visit the coastal hamlet of Tighnabruaich before returning to our hotel.
