Accommodation

Hotel Milagros, Mogro Santander
This superb 4 star hotel offers a good standard of accommodation, food and service. Located close to the Mogro Beach and set opposite the Liencres Natural Park, this popular hotel boasts 75 tastefully decorated bedrooms. All the guest rooms are en suite and are furnished with Air conditioning, Cable/Satellite TV, Hairdryer and Telephone. The hotel complex has a Turkish bath, sun lounge, putting green, gymnasium, boutique, Cocktail bar, Jacuzzi/Whirlpool and swimming pool.

Portsmouth to Bilbao Cruise Ferry
There’s so much to enjoy on board the Pride of Bilbao* including sumptuous foods, live entertainment, two onboard casinos, sauna, gym and even a beauty salon. At the end of the evening you can look forward to enjoying a good night’s sleep in your comfortable en suite cabin. (NO meals included on board)

Itinerary

Day 1
A late morning departure from your pickup point to join the coach for Portsmouth and the P&O Ferry which sails for Bilbao. After settling into your cabin you can relax and enjoy a leisurely cruise across to Spain.

Day 2
Day at sea enjoying the facilities onboard the P&O Cruise Ferry.

Day 3
We arrive in the port of Bilbao at approximately 9.00am. We then travel to the 4 star Hotel Milagros in Mogro near Santander, our home for the next seven nights.

THEN on Day 4

After breakfast, we visit the magnificent Picos de Europa Mountain range known as the “little Switzerland of Spain”, through the Hermida Gorge to reach the town of Potes.

Day 5
Today we visit Castro Urdiales, a small and charming resort. The old town is relatively unspoilt and also the coastal town of Laredo

Day 6
A full day to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 7
A full day to enjoy historical Santander.

Day 8
A leisurely breakfast followed by an excursion to san Vicente de la Barquera Comillas and the world heritage site of Santillana del Mar with its medieval buildings and cobbled streets.

Day 9
A mornings drive up into the Cantabrian Mountains for a last chance to absorb some awe inspiring scenery before returning to our hotel.

Day 10
We depart Mogro for Bilbao with time to enjoy this lovely City before boarding the P&O cruise ferry for the return sailing to Portsmouth (NO meals included on board).

Day 11
We arrive in Portsmouth during the morning, disembark and then make the return journey home to East Anglia.

Excursions

Travel to Portsmouth to join the cruise ferry.

A day to relax on the boat.

Overnight cruise ferry to Portsmouth.

Monday 24th May
Arrive in Portsmouth then travel home.
