Itinerary
FridayUpon joining the coach, we leave East Anglia far behind and following a comfort stop, we continue on to Winchester. After ample time in this enchanting city, we complete the last leg of our outward journey to arrive at our hotel in time to freshen up before enjoying a welcome pre-dinner wine & canapé reception.
SaturdayFollowing breakfast, we depart the hotel at 9.15am and travel the eight miles to Southampton to board the 10.00am Red Funnel Ferry and enjoy the 55 min Solent cruise across to the Isle of Wight. After arriving in East Cowes, we have a very pleasant day exploring this popular Isle. We then return to East Cowes to board the 4.30pm ferry back to Southampton. From here, we continue on to the hotel. Dinner tonight is served at 7.30pm.
SundayFollowing a drive through part of the stunning New Forest, we visit Exbury Gardens. April is a wonderful time at Exbury, with a beautiful ‘Cloth of Gold Daffodil Meadow” which leads down to the Beaulieu River.
MondayWe depart the hotel at 10.00 am and enjoy the journey which takes us past Chichester on through Arundel to arrive in Horsham where we have ample time to purchase lunch. From here, we join the motorway for a while before arriving back in East Anglia late afternoon.
