Romford Market is an open market with some 270 stalls. Its history dates back over 750 years where it originated as a sheep market. Today the market continues to thrive and is considered to be one of the largest and best street markets in the South East. In recent years the Council has invested approximately £8 million on improvements to drainage, lighting, surfacing and electricity supplies ensuring that the market experience is attractive to all who visit.
